A quick hello from Mike

I love this city. North Vancouver has been my home for decades: where we raised our three children, where I built a business that created more than 20 highly skilled, well-paying local jobs, and where I've served on the school board, the library board, and more. I'm running for mayor because trust between residents and City Hall is broken, and I intend to fix it with transparency, fiscal accountability, and a door that's actually open. I advocate for sensible, balanced investment in active transportation - walking, cycling, and transit that work alongside the roads we all still rely on. Most days, I get around this city myself on foot, by bike, or by SeaBus and transit.

Where I stand

Accessible, Responsive Leadership

My door is open. Regular Meet the Mayor events, open and unscripted. I won't be hard to find.

Transparent, Accountable City Hall

Too many decisions get "consulted on" only after they're already made. I want real debate before the plan is locked in, not a rubber-stamped survey once it's too late to change anything. Only 22.4% of us voted last time; that's not apathy, that's a signal.

Fiscal Accountability & Fair Cost-Sharing

The North Shore covers 37% of the wastewater plant's cost despite being 8% of the region's population, and city debt has grown right alongside it.

Getting Things Right

Real growth, on the terms residents were promised. I'll push to restore the public voice CNV took away.
